Trademark Registration

Requirements:

• Information of applicant: name, address, and nationality.
• Classes and specification of goods/services (10th edition of Nice CL.)
• A certified copy of the priority document. (If claiming priority);
• Classes and specification of goods/services
• Mark representation (Logo)
• Notarized and Legalized POA up to Omani Consulate. POA is required before filing.
• Applicant's Commercial License along with its Arabic translations

Patent Registration

Requirements:

• Information of applicant: name, gender, address, p. o .box, e-mail address, phone, mobile and fax numbers and nationality
• Information of inventor (if the applicant is not the inventor): name, gender, address, p. o .box, e-mail address, phone, mobile and fax numbers and nationality
• If the patent application contains more than one graphical descriptions/drawings, the main graphical description/drawing should be pointed out
• A copy of the priority.
• Arabic and English Specification, containing (background of the invention; general description of the invention; brief description of the drawings; and detailed description. (all in word format).
• Arabic and English Abstract. (word format).
• Arabic and English Claims. (word format)
• Arabic and English Drawings. (JPG format)
• A notarized and legalized Power of Attorney up to the Omani Consulate in the domicile of the applicant.

Industrial Design Registration

Requirements:

• Information of applicant: name, gender, address, p. o .box, e-mail address, phone, mobile and fax numbers and nationality;
• Information of inventor (if the applicant is not the inventor): name, gender, address, p. o .box, e-mail address, phone, mobile and fax numbers and nationality;
• If the design application contains more than one graphical descriptions/drawings, the main graphical description/drawing should be pointed out;
• A brief description of the Industrial Design in English and Arabic which is to be registered ;
• Certified Priority Document, if claimed; (note: we can file the applications now with only the priority number/date and submit the certified copy of priority application within the following 90 days of filing)
• A duly legalized extract from the Commercial Register or from the Memorandum of Association, if the applicant is a company or body corporate;
• Clear copy of the design (JPG or PDF format).
• Each view of proposed design with possible description; and
• Notarized and legalized Deed of Assignment.
• POA form for use in Oman. This POA shall be notarized and legalized up to the Omani Consulate.
