JORDAN

Trademark Registration

Requirements:

• Information of applicant: name, address, and nationality.
• Classes and specification of goods/services.
• A certified copy of the priority document. (If claiming priority);
• Mark representation (Logo)
• Notarized and Legalized POA up to Jordan Consulate. POA is required before filing.

Patent Registration

Requirements:

• POA duly notarized and legalized up to the Jordan Consulate at the applicant’ end.ity
• Full Specifications and claims along with their Arabic translation.
• An affidavit form (which serves as a deed of assignment) to be jointly signed by the investor(s) and the applicant. Legalization must be made up to the Jordan Consulate at the applicant’ end. (Form attached).
• Certified copy of the certificate of incorporation of the applicant company along with its Arabic translation.
• • Certified copy of the priority document, if to be claimed with its Arabic translation. Kindly note the documents No. 3- 5 can be filed within 60 days from the filing date with possible extension up to 6 months after paying the official fees. For the POA, it is mandatory to have at least a notarized copy of the said document upon filing the application.

Industrial Design Registration

Requirements:

• Multi-side views of the subject designs to be protected
• POA duly notarized and legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
• Certified copy of the Company Commercial Register
• Deed of assignment to be signed by the creator and the applicant duly notarized and legalized up to the Jordanian Consulate.
• Certified copy of the priority document, if priority is to be claimed.
• Brief abstract showing the novelty elements of the subject design.
